Your troops have been captured deep behind enemy lines!

Shakal is a vehicle combat and POW search-and-rescue game. Your primary mission is to find and rescue all of your captured soldiers, and then transport them to an allied helipad for evac. Yup- get dem to da choppah.

Grunts are worth points when rescued and Commandos also upgrade your launcher weapon. You must protect them from enemy patrols and dangerous terrain to get them home safe. Your secondary mission is to find the leaders responsible for their imprisonment, and ensure they can't threaten our forces again.

You will navigate a 3D physics-based world filled with enemy troops, turrets, armored vehicles, aircraft, ships, natural obstacles, land mines, lasers... ... ...


The preview build includes: a title menu, an intro screen, a play/pause/quit game loop (game over screen coming soon!), a statistis collection engine with enemy KIA and rescued POW tracking, a player vehicle with a rotating gun turret, an upgradable launcher weapon featuring grenades and rockets (and cheat effect!), enemy turrets that track your movement and fire in three round bursts, enemy infantry (kind of, they can aim and shoot but not move yet) and patrol boats

The preview level now has working gravity and physics, invisible border walls, animated water, trees and rocks and sandbags that block player movement and weapons fire, a bridge, a walled compound (destructible gate coming soon!), multiple prisoner buildings in place (POWs coming soon!), a rescue helipad with ground lights (helicopter coming soon!), a final boss arena (bosses coming soon!), and a working invincibility shield (and cheat effect!)

Current projects include a more elaborate animated title menu with introduction story slides, finished moving enemy infantry, enemy tanks and patrol boats, and destructable buildings with collectable weapon-level-raising POWs inside.

This battle will make your blood boil.
